Overview Position: 2026-BWS-006-Laboratory and Field Intern, Grahamsville Status: Full-time internship with the NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Agency: DEPT OF ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION Job Category: Engineering, Architecture, & Planning Location: Grahamsville, NY, Sullivan County. The position is located in Grahamsville NY, in Sullivan County, without ready access to mass transit options. Compensation: USD 17 per hour Responsibilities Participate in water quality monitoring and support functions within the lab Operations, located in Grahamsville, NY. Assist in field collection, laboratory analysis, and preparation of bottles for surveys. Assist on field runs, calibrate equipment, and prepare bottles for surveys. Adhere to and comply with all environmental, health and safety laws, Agency policies, rules, and regulations. Develop a final presentation displaying assignments involved during the internship for the DEP Interns Closing Ceremony. Qualifications & Requirements As of June of the Program year, prospective interns must be a student matriculated in a college or a recent college graduate (winter/spring term of the Program year). Note: Appointment to this title is valid for the duration of the Program, June – August each year.
