This internship is a ten-week opportunity for rising seniors or masters’ students during which the Portfolio Strategy Intern will work directly alongside a senior analyst responsible for asset allocation and portfolio strategy across equity and fixed income portfolios. Primary responsibilities vary, but will likely include: Researching and analyzing asset class risk and return opportunities Monitoring investment characteristics and portfolio exposures Building and maintaining financial and macroeconomic models Engaging with company management teams, sell-side analysts and academic researchers Creating investment-related presentation materials Dodge & Cox’s well-established reputation provides us unparalleled access to corporate management teams. Qualifications Dodge & Cox targets candidates with exceptional levels of academic achievement from various disciplines. Candidates should have: An excellent academic record Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including experience with applied statistics Basic knowledge of economics and finance; coursework in computer programming is a plus Demonstrated interest in financial markets and value investing Initiative and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication skills and desire to work in a team-oriented environment Requirements Dodge & Cox has a 4:1 hybrid work model, and all Dodge & Cox employees are required to be in their assigned office as noted in the job posting Monday – Thursday each week, with the option to work remotely on Friday. The monthly compensation for this position is $10,000. Dodge & Cox provides a relocation package or optional housing for all summer interns.
