  • We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment
  • This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on diesel engines and heavy equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections
  • Repair or replace defective components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering systems
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot issues
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations
  • Test drive vehicles and equipment to ensure proper performance after repairs
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic (heavy-duty preferred)
  • Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and tools
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASE Certification (Diesel or Heavy Equipment)
  • Experience with fleet maintenance or construction equipment
  • Welding and fabrication experience
