A rapidly growing, Chicago-based law firm is seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Associate Attorney to assist with local immigration court appearances. If you have family-based immigration experience and are interested in practicing in an EOIR courtroom, we encourage you to apply.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated self-starter who can work independently when needed while remaining engaged with a collaborative team. This role offers both challenging and rewarding work, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while helping clients navigate their immigration matters.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in immigration court proceedings, including appearances before EOIR
  • Manage and organize immigration case files efficiently and effectively
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and legal strategy
  • Handle a high-volume caseload while maintaining attention to detail
  • Collaborate with legal staff to ensure timely and effective case management

Qualifications

  • Licensed Attorney in good standing
  • 2–3 years of immigration law experience, preferably with family-based immigration cases
  • EOIR court experience preferred, or willingness to gain courtroom experience
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required
  • Strong organizational, communication, and client-management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment

Technical Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Comfortable using remote work and home office technology

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Additional Preferred Qualification

  • EOIR registration is a plus
