The Medical Scribe is also responsible for assigning appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes and preparing after-visit summaries • In addition to documentation responsibilities, the role supports clinical documentation improvement by reviewing medical records, identifying gaps, and assisting providers in maintaining compliance with healthcare standards.
