Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant Core Therapy, LLC. is looking for a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our outpatient rehabilitation department. Under general supervision from the Lead Physical Therapist and D.O., the Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant is a qualified professional with the responsibility of direct patient care. Primary Job Responsibilities: Implementing patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the Lead Physical Therapist and D.O. Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients and facility in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and State policies and procedures under the supervision of the Lead P.T. Acts as an assistant to the Lead Physical Therapist when performing tests, evaluations, and complex procedures and contributes to case management, and provides quality patient care. Observes patients before, during, and after therapy, noting their status and reporting to Lead Physical Therapist. Use a variety of techniques such as massage and stretching and the ability to use devices and equipment associate with therapeutic procedures to treat patients. Educate the patient and family members about what to do after treatment. Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach during a any given workday. Maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written direction. Checking in patients, verifying insurance information, accepting co-pays, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient notes, and other various front end duties as needed.
