This role focuses on outpatient psychiatry, working closely with primary care and mental health teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Position Highlights Integrated primary care + behavioral health model Collaborative, team-based environment Opportunity to work with diverse patient populations Focus on medication management and outpatient treatment planning Participation in quality improvement and community-based care initiatives Clinical Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments Diagnose and manage mental health conditions Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications Develop individualized treatment plans Provide brief therapeutic interventions Collaborate with: Primary care providers Behavioral health staff Community partners Provide consultation to care teams Make referrals for supportive and specialty services Support medication adherence and patient education Participate in clinical training and staff education Additional Responsibilities Maintain accurate documentation for billing, compliance, and reporting Participate in quality improvement and accreditation efforts (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.) Assist with 340B pharmacy program initiatives Provide guidance to nursing and behavioral health staff Qualifications Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Idaho Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing 3+ years of experience preferred in behavioral health Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications and treatment modalities Ability to perform accurate clinical assessments and develop care plans Experience in integrated care settings preferred MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) certification or willingness to obtain Skills & Attributes Strong clinical judgment and decision-making ability Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage complex behavioral health cases Organized, flexible, and self-directed Commitment to patient-centered care and community health Work Environment Outpatient behavioral health setting Team-based care with multidisciplinary collaboration Exposure to a wide range of behavioral health conditions Physical & Environmental Considerations Moderate physical activity (standing, walking, occasional lifting) Exposure to infectious diseases and behavioral health environments
