Description / Position Overview Sr. Airport Project Manager About the Role: The Airport Senior Project Manager is a key role responsible for planning, managing, and delivering complex capital improvement projects within an active airport environment. This position oversees project scope, schedule, budget, risk management, and stakeholder coordination to ensure safe, compliant, and timely execution of airport infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in aviation-related construction, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams through all phases of project development - from conceptual planning and design through construction, commissioning, and closeout.

2026 Salary Schedule As a Senior Project Manager, you will: - Lead end-to-end processes of complex, multi-disciplinary airport development, and construction projects, including planning, design review, engineering coordination, and construction oversight.
- Develop project objectives, budgets, schedules, resource plans, and communication strategies while monitoring costs, risks, performance, and compliance with all laws, policies, and technical standards.
- Serve as a technical expert supporting stakeholders, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement.
- Coordinate closely with internal airport teams, external partners, consultants, contractors, and tenants to ensure accurate documentation, high-quality deliverables, and timely, cost-effective project completion.
- Oversee procurement activities such as Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFIs) and ensures all project activities are thoroughly tracked, reported, and aligned with operational and regulatory requirements.
- Develop communication plans and stakeholder updates, including milestone reporting.

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate: Knowledge of:
- Project management methodologies, including planning, scheduling, risk assessment, and process design.
- Airport systems and approaches supporting major organizational programs.
- Applicable federal, state, and local regulatory frameworks relevant to multidisciplinary airport construction projects.
- Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) best practice resources for airside planning, construction, and maintenance.
- Collaborative, participative management approaches that enhance team performance and quality outcomes.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and (enterprise resource planning) ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Viewpoint, Procore, Oracle).
Ability to:
- Provide informed recommendations on procurement processes, budget planning, and strategic resource management.
- Navigate sensitive issues and effectively influence cross-functional teams.
- Articulate complex information clearly and professionally to inform upper management.
- Demonstrate application of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) advisory circulars and airport construction standards across planning, design, and construction projects.
- Deliver projects regardless of size or duration through multiple delivery methods (Design-bid-build, Construction Manager At-Risk (CMAR), Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC), and Design-Build).
- Deliver projects on schedule and within budget in active, secure airport environments by engaging stakeholders effectively to minimize operational impacts.
Minimum Qualifications We value a diverse range of qualifications and experiences. Our organization views each year of further education as equivalent to each year of relevant work experience, and each year of additional relevant work experience as equivalent to each year of required education.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in project management, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
- Five years of full-time, professional experience in managing complex aviation-specific design and construction projects.
- Possess upon hire a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Preferred Qualifications - Professional licensure (Professional Engineer or Registered Architect) or industry certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or American Association of Airport Executives Certified Member.
- Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) or sustainability credentials; experience integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) priorities into airport capital programs
- Experience with pavement management, quality management controls on federally funded work, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circulars 150/5370-12 quality management required practices.
