Light Duty Tow Truck Operator

Stepp's Towing & Heavy Transport is looking to add light duty tow truck operators to our team! We value a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and effective problem-solving abilities.

No slip seating keep your assigned truck!

All drivers must have their own set of tools once assigned to a truck.

Essential functions:

• Respond to accidents, breakdowns, and roadside incidents
• Maintain communication with motorists while en route
• Perform basic repairs or tow vehicles to garages
• Safely load vehicles onto the truck
• Remove illegally parked vehicles

Physical requirements:

• Lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, bending, reaching, climbing
• Significant physical strength and stamina

Required skills & qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial motor vehicle driving experience required
• Prior towing experience or related field preferred but not required! We will train you to operate the tow truck!
• Current DOT medical card required before the 1st day of work
• Clean driving record required for at least the past 3 years
• MUST be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
• Registered in the DOT clearinghouse (for CDL holders only)

Commission pay:

• 30% commission - our drivers average $1,000 - $1,300 weekly OR $200/day guarantee (whichever is greater). This pay structure should not be misconstrued as a salary-paid position.

Schedule:

• Five-day and six-day work weeks available (weekends are mandatory)
