Job Description
Job Summary As a CBRE, GDS Commercial Cleaner, you will be responsible for basic cleaning duties and general maintenance of the facility. This includes mopping, sweeping and trash disposal. You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of your assigned areas.
Shift: 1:00pm - 9:00pm Primary Job Functions - May be responsible for opening/closing the facility
- Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas of the building designated by the supervisor.
- Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
- Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.
- Dust furniture, walls, and equipment which includes moving and rearranging furniture.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Ensure that cleaning supplies are in a safe, secure area at all times.
- Complete standardized cleaning process as per company standards.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
- Assist with snow removal and grounds keeping
- Responds to calls for access control
- Identify and respond to location of tripped alarm on alarm panel and alerts fire personnel
- Prepare biohazard waste for transport and performs replacement liquid nitrogen gases as needed
- Attend all regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
- Follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
- May assist with receiving, sorting and delivering office mail
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience - High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2 years of Job-related experience
- Knowledge of HIPAA privacy guidelines, highly preferred
Working Conditions - Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc.
- Able to carry a minimum of 30lbs
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and moving furniture.
- Ability to follow basic work routines.
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to communicate.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Ability to efficiently complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes.
- Reliable and responsible, can work independently or as part of a team.
